snacks by Shira vol. 3: roasted orange rosemary walnuts


Not your average roasted nut.

makes 1 cup nuts


1 cup raw walnuts
1 Tbsp coconut oil, melted
juice and zest of one small orange (I used a blood orange, but any orange is chill)
2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
1/4 tsp sea salt


  1. Preheat the oven to 350.
  2. Place the walnuts, coconut oil, orange juice, orange zest, and rosemary in a small bowl and toss until well combined.
  3. Place the nuts on a parchment lined baking sheet and sprinkle the sea salt on top.
  4. Roast for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Cool before serving.
  6. Optional: top with fresh orange zest

serving size: 1/4 cup nuts
