snacks by Shira vol. 15: roasted chili lime cashews

Zesty roasted nuts comin' through.

Ingredients

1 cup raw cashews
1 Tbsp maple syrup
1 Tbsp coconut oil, melted
juice and zest of one lime
1/2 tsp chili powder
pinch sea salt

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350.
  2. Toss the nuts in a small bowl with the maple syrup, coconut oil, lime zest, lime juice, and chili powder until combined evenly.
  3. Place the nuts on a parchment lined baking sheet and sprinkle sea salt on top.
  4. Roast for 12-15 minutes, flipping once, or until golden.
  5. Cool before serving.
  6. Optional: top with fresh lime zest.

serving size: 1/4 cup nuts
